Prologue snippet of my new novel
Aw yeah, writing a new novel if anyone didn’t know. This one is more supernatural than anything. I won’t be revealing any massive details about it, but I will be offering bits and pieces for you all to read.
With that being said, here’s the mid-section of the prologue:
Do the mortals sense the upcoming chaos that will twist their insides into knots? Do they pause before crossing a dark threshold? Can the children sense the darker entities that hide in crawl spaces that adults cannot?
Samhain comes. Freedom awaits.
No longer a form without shape, a body without mass; I will become flesh. Nightmare incarnate, shattering peace into a thousand shards for mortals to cut themselves on.
As Hell’s maw opens, so will the gates of Heaven.
Peace. Light. Sibling to darkness. A nemesis and fond relative that gives reason to hate. Which is stronger? Good? Evil?
Neither. Bane ensures the safety of sibling rivalries.
Light burns a hole through shades of black; darkness congregates to suffocate it. Light takes away the burdens of the past and present; darkness hold the weight of a thousand sins. Prayers are sent, received, granted; still, chaos spreads with the promise of a new plague. We are backwards, but equal. Always balanced, our fights ultimately end on neutral ground after time.
